Use Ecru our beige Base & Blocker as the perfect base coat for faux wood looks.
It has all the amazing properties of our Base & Blocker and the perfect shade to create a multitude of different wood looks.
Method
- Apply one or two cost of Ecru depending on what surface you are covering, can be used over painted, varnished surfaces to avoid sanding back to raw wood.
- use Stain & Glaze in any colour dry brushed to create lines/stripes/faux grain, you can be creative and use as many different S&G colours to create layers of colour.
- use a colour wash of ecru and water, then a colour wash of your chosen S&G and water. This will help mute the lines and blend the colours to create more layers.
- You can repeat this as many times as you like.
